On 15 October 2019, Constitutional Court found inadmissible the individual application lodged by Aydin Sefa Akay, associate judge at the UN’s Mechanism for International Criminal Tribunal and retired ambassador. Convicted of being a member of armed terrorist organisation on the ground of using ByLock, he was sentenced to 7 years and 6 months in prison.

Olcay is known his protest against the statue which ended the “supreme court judge” status of then-supreme court judges. To protest this law, he had hanged his tog at the court window.
