Dismissed judge Emine Bayburtlu and her husband, dismissed/arrested judge Arif Bayburtlu were sentenced to 6 years 9 months in jail by Samsun 2nd Assize Court for being members of armed terror organisation on 23 Mar 2018.
They denied accusations and requested their release.
After convicting and sentencing, court released Arif Bayburtlu by considering his long detention period.
Judge couple will be put in prison again to serve remaining sentence if appeal courts uphold the convictions.
