Dismissed and arrested judge Nihal Cuvoğlu and her husband, prosecutor Mahmut Cuvoğlu were sentenced to 7 years 6 months in jail by Gaziantep 10th Assize Court for being members of armed terror organisation on 21 Mar 2018.
They were accused of using ByLock secure mobile application which was publicly available on Google and Apple Stores and staying with alleged Gulenists while studying judgeship exam.
They denied accusations and requested their release.
After convicting and sentencing, court released them on condition that travel ban by considering their long detention period. They will be put in prison again to serve remaining sentence if appeal courts uphold the convictions.
