Former member of Court of Cassation and former secretary general of High Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HCJP) Mehmet KAYA was sentenced to 15 years in prison over the pretext of terrorism charges on 17 September 2019. Furthermore, court ruled for continuation of his detention. He has been kept in solitary confinement cell in prison since February 2018.
