The numbers of the great purge within the Turkish judiciary, that began on the morning of 16 July 2016 with the arrest of 2745 judges and prosecutors on the charge of coup attempt and terrorism was shared by the Cumhuriyet Daily correspondent Alican Uludağ through his social media account.
According to Uludag, the number of judges and prosecutors prosecuted on the charges membership of a terror organization is 4561.
Following the prosecutions, 3455 judges and prosecutors were indicted.
As of the date of the news, while 534 aqquited, 1344 judges and prosecutors were convicted.
According to these figures, the number of ongoing trials is 1617.
