Adalet Betül Çağdır, the wife of dismissed judge over the pretext of coup attempt, jumped to her death from the ninth floor of an apartment building in İstanbul on 26 March 2018.

Ömer Faruk Gergerlioğlu, purged academic and human rights defender, tweeted on Tuesday: “Yet another suicide by the spouse of a purge victim. Don’t overwhelm people like this. How many suicides of purge victims have there been? English teacher Adalet Betül Çağdır, wife of a purge victim and former judge, committed suicide yesterday by jumping from her 9th floor apartment in Başakşehir.”
