Lawmaker and Human Rights Defender Ömer Faruk Gergerlioglu tweeted about the situation on 28 May 2019:
“Suat Recber, is one of the removed judges and he has been under detention. He is waiting for appeal court’s decision.
His daughter Nahide had undergone a heart transplant and she has to undergo a stomach surgery due to the side effects of the drugs that she used for her heart problem. Her dad should be released before the surgery and sitting by her during the family’s most difficult times.”
